Hotel Location

Central Park Hotel is located in Sheung Wan area in Hong Kong, located in the north-west of Hong Kong Island (in between Central and Sai Ying Pun). It is part of the Central and Western District. Within walking distance, brings to you nearby historical places of interest, such as the Western market. Western Market is one of the oldest structures in Sheung Wan, Hong Kong Island, Hong Kong. The Edwardian-style building was originally built in 1906 and operated as a food market until 1988. In 1990, the government declared a historical monument and the renovated market re-opened as the Western Market in 1991. Currently there is a wide range of cloth and textile for sale. The top floor is a restaurant with dancing and live music. One of the most visited temples in Hong Kong is the Man Mo Temple built in 1847 on Hollywood Road at the corner of Ladder Street. Man Mo Temple is a commonly sort of temple worshipping the Man Tai , Pau Kung and Mo Tai, Kwan Yu, to pray for one’s desired wishes. Upper Lascar Row, better known as Cat Street, is a narrow alley that runs parallel to Hollywood Road on the north side. "Lascars" were known seamen from the East Indies who often visited the area. Previously, if you had something stolen, you were almost certain to find it for sale back in Cat Street. In Cantonese slang thieves are called rats, and the dealers who purchase goods from the rats are cats. Hence, the name is called the "Cat Street" in Cantonese. Cat Street is now mostly occupied by antique shops, which is known as a popular destination for tourists. Ladder Street is a street in Sheung Wan, Hong Kong, composed entirely of stone steps. The hotel is also set amongst the renowned dining and entertainment districts of Soho and Lan Kwai Fong which are both within walking distance. Shopping Malls like The Landmark, Princes Building and IFC Mall in Central offers upscale luxury boutiques are located 8 minutes away by car. Nearby located is the historic Pedder Building on Pedder Street Central has shops with factory outlets, designer shops, and specialty shops carry silk, embroidery and cashermere. Massive shopping complex such as Times Square and World Trade Centre are conveniently located in Causeway Bay are just minutes away by MTR or taxi. Causeway Bay is one of Hong Kong's most popular shopping districts.
